About Our Community
WELCOME TO ST. PETER THE APOSTLE!
Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
(Romans 15:7)
A BRIEF HISTORY
On September 19th, 1954, the Parish of Saint Peter the Apostle was established. Father Edward Lyons celebrated the first Mass at midnight on Christmas Eve. Fifteen years later, on December 7th, 1968, the church building was blessed and dedicated by His Excellency, Alexander Carter, Bishop of Sault Ste. Marie.
OUR PARISH TODAY
Since those early days, Saint Peter's has grown into a vibrant parish where people of all ages are invited to share in the life of the Church. We believe that every person has been blessed by God with unique gifts and talents, and we encourage each person to discover and use these gifts in service of others - both within our parish and throughout the wider community.

Today, our parishioners remain committed to keeping Saint Peter's alive and active. Through our ministries, celebrations, and fellowship, we strive to support one another and create a place where all can feel a sense of belonging.

Above all, Saint Peter's is a community gathered together in faith - a parish seeking to worship God, grow closer to Him, and share His love with others.
